On July 1st, to commemorate the life and music of one of Africa’s most renowned and beloved band leaders, S.O.B.’s welcomes to its stage Seun Kuti & The Egypt 80, son of the legendary Fela and his original band, for their first NYC appearance as part of their U.S. debut tour. S.O.B.’s has long since been the definitive home of Afrobeat in New York, hosting legendary performances from Fela himself to Antibalas and just about every important Afrobeat ensemble along the way.
