New TV series Messengers© brings exciting entertainment to audiences in the UK. Hosted by Oyiza Adaba, Messengers© is a 30 minute high impact show that creates the needed platform for African arts & artists all over the world, and serves as a medium to communicate the beauty of our rich African culture and heritage as seen through the eyes of the artist.
The program features some of Africa’s greats such as Bongos Ikwue, Chinua Achebe, Don Barber, Wyclef Jean, Cobhams Asuquo, El Anatsui, Zizi Cardow, TY Bello, and many others. Messengers showcase both known and unknown artists, and is set against the backdrop of some of the most beautiful and historical places on the continent. It’s a must watch for everyone!
The program, which launched on the sub-Sahara Africa channel Africa Magic (DStv 114) in November 2008, can now be viewed by audiences in the UK on Ben TV every Saturday at 7.00pm. AFRICA-RELATED, the company behind Messengers© plans to increase its world broadcast partnerships in 2009, with new additions like US-based Voice of America (VOA), The Africa Channel & Black Entertainment TV (BET).
BEN Television is an ethnic oriented and diverse family channel, established in 2002 to transform the conventional perception of Africa in the Diaspora. BEN Television is distributed across two continents Africa and Europe.
